CeeMee is a New Zealand owned and operated business. Founded in the Waikato, by Neil McKinley and partner Delwyn Wilkins both of which grew up on dairy farms. Neil McKinley took on a welding engineering apprenticeship at aged 17 in Rotorua where he found his love for tinkering and inventing solutions to common problems. He then met Delwyn Wilkins and they decided to go dairy farming which over the course of 30 years they owned or managed farms in Orini, Eureka, Rukuhia and Ngakuru. All while raising three children, rearing over 15,000 calves and building CeeMee.
Over the 40 years Neil McKinley spent welding and farming he continued to design and produce solutions to the problems he came across. From welding chicken coops which allowed Jayden, his son, to feed the chickens with ease to designing and building go-carts, specialised trailers and dog kennels. All of which had features to reduce hazard risks and make life easier.
One of Neil’s greatest designs, ‘The Click’ a visible expandable temporary barrier, came from the horrible experience of colliding with four standard raceway tapes one evening as a result of unseen tapes which were meant to be down. After scouring the market and finding no products available to reduce the risk of injury with raceway tapes, the Click was designed, refined and brought to life. The Click was the beginning of CeeMee which Neil and Dell launched in 2015. To this day Neil continues to design outstanding and practical products based on the idea to minimise and eliminate hazards in the farming and industrial settings.
As CeeMee grows, the dedication to creating an exceptional long lasting range of safety and preventative solutions is a natural result. All products are New Zealand made and designed. To date products minimising collisions with race tapes and effluent pipes, lameness of cows and hazards within the industrial and workshop environments have been developed.
